" Still life"

While I am taking a huge interest in Art again, here's another mini collection of my pretty pastel fruity paintings. They are painted with acrylics on canvas.

The origional work is all sold, but still available as prints and greetings cards at Redbubble...

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last arty blog xx

" Folk Art "

Recently, I have become more interested in creating pieces of Art, though I am yet to have one style of my own, as I paint and draw with several different techniques.
This week, I have compiled a mini treasury of my folk art style of painting.
This look is achieved using a resist technique, which involves layering black ink, white gouache and coloured acrylics, on 400g watercolour paper. It works well for those who enjoy painting in a very spontaneous fashion, letting the picture develop gradually.
My Artwork can be perchased as greetings cards and prints at...

" Talulah's Snow Garden "

Regular readers will know how much I adore my garden and think of it as stepping into a sanctuary, with it's serenity and elegance. This bout of icy weather has caused havoc on the roads, but at the back of my house, the "Snow garden" remains Serene and oblivious to all the problems of every day life and just carries on through this season in the most natural and beautiful way. Drive carefully and don't forget to put out bird food, dear friends xx

" Pure and simple "

The Christmas holidays have given me plenty of time to explore new ways of being creative. After all the rich excessive food and drink, I needed to get back to something more natural. Lucky for me, I came across a new fabric to play with. It's called " cotton scrim ", which I had never heard of before, though it's so versatile, inexpensive and blends in well with other fabrics. I came up with a delightful project, perfect for a pure and simple hand made wedding for the new age. The cotton scrim is available to buy from my etsy shop and my folksy "Talulah trims", supplies shop. Happy new year dear friends xxx
