Lace bunny ears rule okay!

Cat ears headband with veil, black or white lace.

The end of September is when most on line sellers will get that feeling of panic in the pit of the stomach, as the countdown to Christmas gets well and truly under way! I wouldn't mind but there's still a mad dash for Halloween costumes to look forward to! I wish I knew exactly what buyers wanted to wear for their Halloween parties, then I could have everything made up well in advance. With about 16 or more various bunny and cat ears headbands to choose from in my Etsy shop, it's a bit of a guessing game and I'm not the most organised person at the best of times. I expect I'll be fiddling around making jewellery, just because I feel like it, then suddenly a ton of  lace cat ears headband orders will all come at once! I guess it's my own fault if I'm honest, so if anyone cares to shout out "Stop messing around and get the headbands made!!", maybe I'll get my act together!
I have some really beautiful delicate lace this season, so here's a taster of some new designs with veils, all in my Etsy shop, top two available in white as well as black! Just to add, don't be afraid of wearing one of my headbands, they feel stable and safe, you may forget you have it on!

Breakfast at Tiffany's Sleep Mask gift set.

My last post about the iconic Holly Golightly, Breakfast at Tiffany's sleep mask and tassel ear plugs has proved very popular, as have the actual items. It seemed a no brainer to make a gift set as I know many of my sales on these go for Birthday and Christmas gifts. It has been such fun putting the ideas together! Now you can purchase the items all wrapped up in pink tissue paper, with a cute gift tag for your personal message and a print out of the words to "Moon River".  Available in my Etsy and Folksy shops, thank you so much for reading!!

New gothic cocktail hats.

The latest additions to my cocktail hat collection are rather self indulgent to say the least!
I wanted to just set myself free and do whatever I want. My love of sinister pretty gothic has won the day again, I can't help myself! They're not to everyone's taste, but they sure were fun to make and just in time for Halloween! I made the twiggy birds nest in the second photo from florist's twine and the hand painted robin's eggs from Das clay. These two hatties are one of a kind creations, so feel free to snap them up knowing you have a unique piece! Both are listed in my Etsy shop.

Dear Jamie.....

I have at least four Jamie Oliver cook books. Jamie and I have come a long way since he was a young chef working at River Café and I was a miserable bint working stressful 10 hour days up North in the Fashion trade, ahh those were the days, or not!!
Now Jamie is worth about 150 zillion pounds sterling and I have the country life down South, so "Happy days" to quote Jamie! I left home at nineteen armed with my Mother's spag bol recipe and thanks to a few years experience and a few cook books, I now have a repertoire of at least a couple of dozen recipes to see me through, including several from Jamie. His tempura batter and thrice cooked chips are up there with the greats! If I'm to be perfectly honest about what goes into my supermarket trolley most trips, it's cider, wine, chocolate, crisps, ice cream and a few bits of food, in that order! This was summed up brilliantly by the lovely Polish guy on the checkout at Sainsbury's Swindon, with his comment, "Only the nice things!".
Jamie and I do have one thing in common, we both hate waste and this is evident with his new TV series and book entitled "Jamie's money saving meals". This is where I have to get to the point and ask "What has happened to the cheeky chappie?". Everything in Jamie world used to be "Luvely jubbly" and "Pukka!", but he seems to have gradually transformed into a big fat middle aged bossy, shouty, gobby big mouth!!  There, I said it, phew! So to sumarize, while I show you a photo of a Spanish style omelette, made using all the leftover vegetables lurking at the bottom of my beautiful pastel green Smeg fridge, can we please have the nice friendly Jamie back?
I made this!
